Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) Positions Itself for Strategic Growth in 2025 and Beyond
New York, February 18, 2025 – The Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) Board of
Directors is proud to announce pivotal developments, including new leadership and board
enhancements, as it positions itself for strategic growth in 2025 and beyond.
WiT is where ideas become opportunities. By bringing together resources, connections, and
expertise, the organization empowers women within the entire business value chain. With new
leadership at the helm, our united community of women and men will continue to fuel growth, spark innovation, and transform the marketplace on a global scale.
Leadership Confirmations
WiT is pleased to welcome two pivotal appointments to its leadership:
• Angelina Castro, formerly Interim Executive Director, has been named Executive Director.
Her strategic leadership and commitment to WiT’s mission and programming have strengthened
the organization’s ability to deliver impactful initiatives.
• Janice Ross assumes the role of Business Development Advisor, where she will focus on
building robust partnerships and diversifying revenue streams to ensure long-term sustainability.
Welcoming Board Members
In addition to the new staff positions, WiT’s Board of Directors will be enriched by two outstanding
new members:
• Kristin Lecour, Vice President, Consumer Products and Canadian Distribution, 9 Story
Media Group. Lecour will begin her second term as a board member and continues as the
Co-Chair of the WiT Foundation’s Scholarship Committee.
• Nancy Molenda, Vice President, Global Corporate Events and Philanthropy, Mattel.
Molenda will join the board as a new member and maintain her position as Co-Chair of the
Wonder Women Awards.
Their combined expertise and shared dedication to WiT’s vision will propel the organization’s
strategic growth and further its mission to empower women worldwide.

Founded in 1991, Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT) / The WIT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to advance women through leadership, networking and educational opportunities. WIT serves and supports women at all stages of their careers, from entrepreneurs and startups to seasoned industry veterans. The WIT Foundation grants scholarships to deserving students enrolled in industry-related undergraduate programs. WIT has 25 chapters throughout the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, France, the UK and Australia, with liaisons in Finland, Germany, India and Lebanon.
