WiT Partners with Walmart for READY, SET, RETAIL, for Women Inventors
Inventors Learn to Bring Their Toy and Game Concepts to the Masses at Half-Day Virtual Event, Presented by Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment
New York, September 1, 2021 - Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT), a global nonprofit organization and diverse community of professionals working in the consumer products industry, is partnering with Walmart to host Ready, Set, Retail!, a half-day virtual event on September 9, 2021, focused on helping female inventors get their products on the retailer’s shelves.
Ready, Set Retail is for inventors, entrepreneurs, or anyone who wants to learn more about the retail landscape, and how to work with Walmart to bring their toy or game concept to the masses. Walmart team members will share exclusive knowledge about how they work with inventors, including:

Among the speakers is also inventor Dr. Lisa Williams MBA., MA., PhD, creator of Fresh Dolls and Positively Perfect. She will share her journey from pitching her ideas to Walmart, to developing her products, to distributing them nationwide.
Throughout the day’s sessions, attendees will learn about manufacturing, sourcing, pitching, ecommerce, Walmart Marketplace, and more.
Walmart is a retail giant for the toy industry, and continues to make strides in its efforts to work with diverse inventors around the world. Last year, Walmart sourced more than $13.1 billion in goods and services from diverse suppliers. They bring in 275 million customers to their stores every week. And Walmart Inc. and The Walmart Foundation have committed $100 million over the next five years to the Walmart.org Center for Racial Equity.
