More About Me
Tell us about your career journey and how you ended up here.
When I was fresh out of grad school, I was hired through an employment agency at Mill Pond Press. That started my publishing and licensing career in 1996. I quickly fell in love with the art industry, almost 25 years later, I'm still here and loving it!
Describe yourself in 5-7 words.
Driven, kind, generous, trustworthy, fun!
Tell us about a time when you thrived at work, and what you learned about yourself from that experience.
I have thrived in the most challenging times in business, that's what I'm most proud of and when I learned the most. Transitioning into my own agency in 2010 was a challenging time, but I did it with integrity and established a strong foundation that is going strong almost 11 years later.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is the people. Artists, Licensees and our vendors. It's an incredible blessing to have so many long term relationships.
How about when you "turn off" and go home? Any hobbies or fun activities you are involved in?
I work a lot and art is very much integrated into our lives. I love to travel, read, go to museums. This year has been quiet of course, lots of time at home rediscovering a slower pace and evaluating how we spend our time.
Any must-read, must-watch or must-follow recommendations?
Must reads - I love historical fiction and non-fiction. I also LOVE Comedy, and it's a variety of favorites. I think observational comedians can teach us a lot about ourselves. I particularly love Dave Chappelle, Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan, Kathleen Madigan, Whitney Cummings and so many others.
