POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Copywriter to craft compelling copy across web, digital, packaging, and e-commerce platforms. This role requires someone who can adapt their tone and voice to resonate with a variety of audiences, including parents, kids, and toy enthusiasts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for storytelling, and understands how to deliver copy that drives engagement and conversions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop creative, on-brand copy for web, digital, and social media that excites and informs customers.
Write engaging and persuasive product descriptions for packaging, e-commerce platforms, and catalogs.
Collaborate with designers, marketing teams, and cross-functional teams to align messaging with visual assets and brand goals.
Optimize digital content for SEO and e-commerce performance, including keyword research and integration.
Create storytelling-focused content for brand campaigns that highlight our mission and product innovation.
Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency in tone, style, and grammar.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor messaging, and audience insights to deliver fresh and innovative ideas.
Collaborate through communication and teamwork with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous, and professional manner.
Exercise sound business judgment.
Work independently and collaboratively and manage time effectively in order to meet changing deadlines and priorities.
Treat all employees, guests and customers and others affiliated with our business with respect.
Conform and abide by all laws, regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and VTech's Rules of Engagement.
Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.

POSITION SKILLS
Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of copy, including web, packaging, and digital assets.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
Understanding of SEO best practices and experience writing for e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Shopify, or similar.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Confident approach to creative with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Collaborative spirit with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for toys, play, and creativity is a must!
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
3+ years of progressively responsible experience in the area of professional copywriting, ideally within consumer goods, toys, or e-commerce
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing or a related field; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform essential functions of this role.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Core hours will be set between employee and manager and will be based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected 5% of the time.
