Karen Kilpatrick

Karen Kilpatrick is a former finance attorney turned marketing executive and creative entrepreneur. She has extensive experience building brands and partnerships through her tenure with Jazwares, where she led its emerging IP division and launched a plush line created with her daughters. Later, in her role as Vice President of Marketing, she developed corporate and philanthropic initiatives, along with the marketing strategy for marquee brands such as Fortnite and Peppa Pig. Karen is the author of several bestselling and upcoming children’s book series (including the When Pencil Met series published by Macmillan and Yo’s Magical Kitchen with celebrity bake artist and TV personality, Yolanda Gampp) and acts as publishing agent for select brands and celebrities at East West Literary Agency. Karen is also the founder and president of Kayppin Media, a company that combines the best of the traditional and self-publishing models to help authors, companies, and brands establish successful publishing programs on their own terms, and Authors4Education, a 401(c)(3) nonprofit that has donated tens of thousands of books to underserved elementary school students.
